Richard’s Thoughts…
Down here in Kansas, the leaves have started to fall off the trees and the air is getting cooler and the sun is leaving my day sooner. Ah, fall is in the air. I’ve always been someone who loves all seasons for the different feelings they exude and the smells that come with them. There is just something about fall that I love.

The leaves falling also got my mind wandering back to my days as a kid, raking the leaves with dad. I was the oldest boy so I was always helping with the yard. But that didn’t mean I didn’t have a little fun in the process. By that I mean jumping in the leaves. As I was running the other day, I saw a pile of leaves… and had it been my yard I would have jumped in them! So, you do it for me. Be a kid for just one moment and go jump in the leaves. If you don’t want to jump, just so lay in the grass among the leaves and remember when you did jump in the leaves.

And finally, if you have children, rake up a pile of leaves this fall just for them to jump in. Maybe you can join them. Enjoy every precious moment with your kids and your loved ones. The leaves change all to quickly.
