Richard Dedor makes his home in Kansas City, where he operates his speaking and training company Richard Dedor Communications. Richard believes that each of us has the ability to overcome any obstacle in addition to having a positive inpact on those around us. He has spent the last ten years volunteering for community groups, working in politics and the non-profit sector. When he was 18, Richard ran for mayor of Mason City, Iowa, a town of 30,000. This campaign propelled him into the national spotlight. He finished third, but proclaimed on election night that it had been a victory. He holds a degree in public relations and is currently working on his first book.
