Introduction

Our speaker today joins us from Los Angeles after spending time in the second-financial capital of the world in Des Moines, Iowa, and the first, New York City. He brings with him a 20-plus year career spanning non-profits, global advertising agencies, and local real estate and financial firms. No matter the industry, the client, or the challenge, he has a vision and an approach to business and customer service that puts people and culture at the center of everything while maintaining an appreciation for leveled risk and passion for finding the balance between risk and reward. His roster of clients includes the United State Tennis Association, PepsiCo, Green Mountain Coffee, Vaynermedia, Hubbell Realty Company, and GreenState Credit Union (one of the nation’s largest financial cooperatives).

He has founded two companies, and in 2013, he launched his book, Running From Yourself, at TEDx Upper East Side in Manhattan.

Richard doesn’t shy from talking about real-world experiences including getting fired from one of the world’s leading ad agencies or losing both elections he’s run in. Life and business is all about authenticity.

He has appeared in The Des Moines Register, The Financial Brand, The NAFCU Journal, and Al Jazeera America all the while authoring three books.

Please help me welcome, Richard!
