Can You Be a Mediocre Manager?

In my 20-year career, I have had the great fortune of having some incredible managers.

I have also experienced some of the worse business has had to offer. In the latter, my average tenure duration is about 12 months.

These two binary experiences has often had me asking: Are there mediocre managers? After thinking about it for awhile, I think not. If you’re mediocre, you’re bad.

There are good managers. And there are bad managers.
